During the summer of 2022. we hired Tall Timber to restore our exterior timber frame accenting and our cedar decks on our lake home at Meridian Beach. Randy, his son Chris, and their team were outstanding to work with; extremely professional, very knowledgeable and courteous. Randy and Chris always made time to answer our questions as the work progressed and their attention to detail is outstanding.
I was truly impressed with how careful they were with not only our property, but our neighbor’s property and how clean they maintained the job site. Considering the level of sanding required, I expected quite a mess, but the tools and techniques that they employ kept the job site quite clean and the amount of dust to a minimum.
It is very difficult to find anyone who truly understands how to properly assess the level of work required. I have used painters in the past to reapply maintenance coats of stain, but my experience is that they will perform the work you ask them to do with the product you specify, usually with end results that don’t look the way you want. Understanding if the original stain has failed or how to maintain the existing finish is important to the longevity of your property. Randy will provide you with the knowledge you require to do this.
Randy has significant knowledge working with various wood types, products, and stains. His understanding of the various stains, their application process, how effective they are in different environments and how to maintain the look of the wood is extremely detailed and based on a lifetime of personal experience. Randy has a passion for working with wood and takes pride in achieving and exceeding his clients’ expectations.
